Unfortunately the cluster of trees I slept in did not allow for first morning light, and I laid in my sleeping bag a little longer than I would have liked. Morning Fog
Waking up to fog was a surprise. Earlier the predawn sky offered stunning views of the Milky Way, crescent moon, and Venus. Thinking the fog would break within the hour, I slunk deeper into my sleeping bag and dozed the early morning away. Finally I could no longer sleep and was forced to start the day.
